Inside Sales Associate
About the role
This is a regular, full-time position reporting to an Inside Sales Manager. Compensation is anticipated to be between $21.19 and $29.00 per hour. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Responsibilities
- Lead current customer renewals and expansions within assigned territories.
- Use a consultative sales process to identify customer needs.
- Identify potential customers and appropriate contacts to qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
- Initiate prospecting, quoting, and data mining activities to drive sales activity.
- Work in conjunction with Marketing on outbound sales and custom email campaigns.
- Maintain and update information in the Company’s salesforce pipeline.
- Support trip planning and appointment setting, drive attendance at events.
- Provide timely communication to both internal and external stakeholders on the status of each account.
- Make a minimum of 25 outbound calls and 25 emails daily.
- Own the development and management of assigned customer relationships in a manner consistent with company policies and the highest standards of business ethics.
- Anticipate, understand, and quickly respond to customer needs.
- Acts as a conduit of information back to the company regarding customer needs, market, and business insights.
- May give customer-facing informal or formal presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years business to business sales experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Teaching, school administrator, SaaS, PaaS, or software sales experience is highly preferred.
- Successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and landing new business for a SaaS offering is preferred.
- Experience with selling solutions into the K-12 education market is preferred.
- Sales knowledge and business acumen are a plus, including lead generation (cold calling), account management, and advanced customer problem-solving skills.
- Experience in an open sales office environment helpful.
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity.
- Positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting over the phone and via the web.
- Advanced computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Experience with Salesforce helpful but not required.
