About the role

The Inside Sales Agent role at TCC is responsible for facilitating outgoing calls, managing incoming traffic, promoting customer retention, and identifying opportunities to sell retail products.

Responsibilities

  • Handle many outgoing interactions daily with existing customers regarding account opportunities.
  • Leverage various selling tools as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities to save customers money or provide additional value through rate plan analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to add new lines of service including Smartphones, Tablets, Mobile Internet and more.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Work independently and as a key member of the entire team.
  • Maintain scheduled callbacks and follow-ups.
  • Stay informed using announcements, webinars, and training platforms.
  • Create a positive and memorable wireless experience that compliments Verizon Wireless.
  • Monitor and track daily productivity, sales performance, and opportunities.
  • Participate in daily team huddles, attend training sessions and other ad-hoc meetings as needed.

Requirements

  • 3 years+ experience and success in a commissionable sales position preferred.
  • Previous call center or wireless experience a plus.
  • Energetic yet compassionate phone skills required.
  • Great problem-solving ability.
  • Highly motivational and possesses persuasion skills.
  • Ability to quickly overcome objections and think on your feet.
  • Ability to stay extremely organized.
  • Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking.
  • Self-starter with little to no supervision needed.
  • Excellent communication skills; oral, written, facilitation and presentation.
  • Passion to help people and enrich their lives.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Salesforce CRM (or similar software).
  • Routinely applies common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Able to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a commissionable sales position, preferably in a call center or wireless environment. Previous experience is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Good at working independently, thinking critically and proffering quality ideas to improve department processes.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Physical Demands

  • Able to sit up to 80% of the time.
  • Able to stand and/or walk over 20% of the time.

Work Environment

The work environment is typically a general office setting. The role requires the ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally stand or walk.
