About the role

This is a full-time, in-office role based at our corporate campus, with client engagement handled by phone, video, email, and approved digital proposal tools. The primary objective is to identify top prospects, complete consistent cold outreach, sell Valpak Clipp advertising services, and own the client relationship from first conversation through renewal and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & New Business:
    • Build and manage target lists of HVAC contractors and other approved high-performing local businesses.
    • Execute daily outbound activity through cold calls, email, LinkedIn, voicemail, and structured follow-up cadences from the corporate campus.
    • Research prospects by service area, seasonality, competitive position, offers, and decision-makers.
    • Book phone or video discovery meetings, create qualified pipeline, and maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Discovery, Proposal & Close:
    • Run consultative phone and video discovery around growth goals, service mix, geography, timing, budget, and campaign expectations.
    • Present Valpak Clipp solutions including Blue Envelope, Magazine, profile-based digital presence, call tracking, and related approved products.
    • Use proprietary tools to compare market opportunities, campaign scenarios, pricing inputs, and client-ready recommendations.
    • Cook up proposals, coordinate pricing review, approvals, agreements, and internal handoffs through launch.
  • Client Retention & Growth:
    • Own the customer relationship after the first sale through phone, video, email, onboarding, campaign readiness, communication, and follow-up.
    • Review available campaign activity and performance indicators with clients after launch.
    • Identify renewal, seasonal, geographic, and spend-growth opportunities after launch.
    • Maintain high service standards so customers understand the value of continuing with Valpak and Clipp.
  • Internal Collaboration & Operating Rhythm:
    • Work onsite at the corporate campus and actively participate in training, outbound call blocks, pipeline reviews, and team coaching.
    • Customer meetings are conducted by phone, video, email, or approved digital tools rather than in the field.
    • Partner with sales leadership, creative, operations, billing, and support teams to deliver a clean customer experience.
    • Use Salesforce/CRM and approved pricing tools consistently to manage activity, pipeline, forecasts, and customer records.
    • Represent the company professionally and follow all approved selling, pricing, and business conduct policies.

Qualifications

  • Prior sales, business development, customer service, hospitality, retail leadership, or other customer-facing experience.
  • Comfort with phone-first outreach and a willingness to make cold calls daily.
  • Strong verbal communication, written follow-up, listening skills, and confidence running conversations by phone or video.
  • Ability to work full-time onsite at the corporate campus while selling to clients remotely through phone, video, email, and digital proposal tools.
  • Ability to learn sales tools, CRM systems, product offerings, and pricing guidelines.
