JOB SUMMARY
The Inside Product Support Sales Representative will contact Ohio CAT customers by telephone within an established geographic territory, aiming to increase parts and service sales and build consultative relationships with those customers to enhance overall sales to users, market share, and improve the Customer Experience with Ohio CAT. The standard will be to contact customers at least four times a year. The Inside Sales Representative will be assigned to and manage an account base established by the manager, including customers from any market segment served by the Heavy Equipment and Industrial Engine Divisions.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- A High School Diploma/GED
- Prior industry knowledge of the products and services, along with a technical background of the products sold and serviced will be required.
- Telephone sales experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Software is desired.
COMPETENCIES
- An initiative-taking individual who can work independently and collaborate with a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and good organizational skills.
- Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment, preferably with Caterpillar equipment, parts, and service.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to exceed customer expectations.
- Advanced computer skills and the ability to operate in CAT information retrieval systems and Microsoft Office Applications.
- Must have a strong sales orientation and mechanical aptitude.
