About the role
The Inside New Business Development (iNBD) Representative is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth through the acquisition of new business. This role focuses on consulting with small-cap private companies, agencies, and non-profit organizations to uncover their communication strategies and align them with PR Newswire solutions.
Responsibilities
- Qualify inbound leads and assess client needs based on their communication strategy
- Conduct inbound sales calls with professionalism and a consultative approach
- Develop and deliver customized sales proposals and presentations to prospective clients
- Maintain an organized pipeline and update CRM with detailed notes and next steps
- Generate persuasive sales communication via phone, web, and email
- Perform proactive follow-up to nurture leads and guide them through the buyer journey
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms to successfully close new business
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless client experience
- Serve as a strategic advisor and brand ambassador, educating prospects on the full value of Cision’s solutions
- Identify and convert competitor accounts by offering tailored package-based solutions
Requirements
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and align with client goals
- Effective multitasking and time management in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an ability to tailor messaging to a range of stakeholders

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
