Inside Mortgage Specialist

About the role

The Inside Mortgage Specialist originates and processes mortgage loans for leads generated by Marine Credit Union. Primary mortgage programs include Conventional Fixed Rate through Servion.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Marine Credit Union to originate mortgage loans eligible for sale in the Secondary Market.
• Contact members promptly upon receiving mortgage leads to ensure exceptional customer service.
• Determine member eligibility for Marine Credit Union’s mortgage programs.
• Process and submit loan documentation to the Investor for approval.
• Refer non-saleable mortgage products to qualified Marine Credit Union partners.
• Provide exceptional customer service and updates to referring partners on loan status.
• Maintain working knowledge of products, services, policies, and procedures.
• Adhere to all applicable Marine Credit Union policies, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Mastery of conventional fixed mortgage underwriting guidelines.
• Mastery of RESPA and TILA regulations.
• Experience with DU/DO and other automated underwriting systems.
• Above-average computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
