Inside Domain Consultant

About the Role

Palo Alto Networks - Idira, the global leader in Identity Security, is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and focused Inside Domain Consultant to support our commercial customers. The Inside Domain Consultant will combine technical knowledge with sales skills and is ultimately responsible for the technical win during the sales cycle. As the primary technical resource for the commercial sales force, you will drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working closely with the sales team and Product Management as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our solutions.

You must articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users, identify all technical issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction, and design optimal solutions for complex customer infrastructure and datacenter environments on a global scale.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical pre-sales support for Palo Alto Networks - Idira’s product solutions.
• Proactively seek new sales opportunities by developing technical relationships within prospective accounts and current customers.
• Present Palo Alto Networks - Idira’s technical value proposition effectively to customers and partners.
• Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
• Conduct and ensure the success of customer proof-of-concepts (POCs).
• Document client feature requests and issues in the CRM system.
• Support Palo Alto Networks - Idira and partner seminars and industry trade shows.
• Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams.
• Develop and maintain technical knowledge of Palo Alto Networks - Idira and associated technologies.
• Mentor other system engineers when appropriate.
• Create training content for the SE organization as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Software Presales or equivalent customer-facing position.
• Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience with Windows/Active Directory administration and operations.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to build and deliver high-quality product demonstrations to technical and executive audiences.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships at multiple levels and work cross-organizationally toward solutions.
• Understanding of security concepts and development of security roles within organizations.
• Prior experience with Palo Alto Networks - Idira Software Solutions or relevant experience with enterprise applications, security management, systems management, identity management, and/or policy management solutions (especially in IAM and SIEM space) preferred.
• Operational experience with LDAP Directories and LDAP Authentication methods.
• Enterprise application authentication experience (e.g., .NET, Java, CLI) a plus.
• Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell) a plus.
• Security-related certifications (Security+, CEH, CISSP) a plus.
• Familiarity with SaaS solutions a plus.

Pay

The compensation for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. The starting base salary range is $129,000.00 - $177,000.00 per year. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
