Inside Domain Consultant

About the Role

Palo Alto Networks - Idira, the global leader in Identity Security, is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and focused Inside Domain Consultant to support our commercial customers. The Inside Domain Consultant will combine technical knowledge with sales skills and is ultimately responsible for the technical win during the sales cycle. Inside Domain Consultants are the primary technical resource for the commercial sales force, driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process in conjunction with the sales team and Product Management.

You will articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users, identify technical issues, and ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. This role requires designing optimal solutions for complex customer infrastructure and datacenter environments on a global scale.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical pre-sales support for Palo Alto Networks - Idira’s product solutions.
• Proactively seek new sales opportunities by developing technical relationships within prospective accounts and current customers.
• Present Palo Alto Networks - Idira’s technical value proposition effectively to customers and partners.
• Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
• Conduct and ensure the success of customer proof-of-concepts (POCs).
• Document client feature requests and issues in the CRM system.
• Support Palo Alto Networks - Idira and partner seminars and industry trade shows.
• Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams.
• Develop and maintain technical knowledge of Palo Alto Networks - Idira and associated technologies.
• Mentor other system engineers when appropriate.
• Create training content for the SE organization as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years in Software Presales or equivalent customer-facing position.
• Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Windows/Active Directory administration and operations.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to build and deliver high-quality product demonstrations to technical and executive audiences.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships and work cross-organizationally.
• Understanding of security concepts and development of security roles within organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with Palo Alto Networks - Idira Software Solutions or relevant experience with enterprise applications, security management, systems management, identity management, and/or policy management solutions (especially in IAM and SIEM).
• Operational experience with LDAP Directories and LDAP Authentication methods.
• Enterprise application authentication experience (e.g., .NET, Java, CLI).
• Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Security-related certifications (Security+, CEH, CISSP).
• Familiarity with SaaS solutions.

Pay

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be in the range of $129,000 - $177,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and work location. The compensation package may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
