About the role

We're looking for a customer-focused Inside Counter Sales to join our team at our Anchorage, AK Millwork and play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience. In this role, you'll combine product knowledge, sales expertise, and outstanding customer service to help customers successfully complete projects ranging from decks and fences to sheds and stairs. Responsibilities

• Deliver Exceptional Customer Service
  • Assist retail customers in person, by phone, and via email.
  • Answer questions regarding products, pricing, availability, and returns/exchanges.
  • Guide customers in selecting the best products and solutions for their needs.
  • Build positive customer relationships through professional and responsive service.
• Drive Sales Success
  • Actively promote and sell company products, services, and related solutions.
  • Prepare material estimates and project quotes for smaller construction projects, including decks, fences, stairs, and sheds.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales through product recommendations and add-on offerings.
  • Develop a strong understanding of company products, pricing, and promotions.
• Process Orders and Coordinate Deliveries
  • Enter customer orders accurately into company systems.
  • Schedule and coordinate product deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor order details and follow through on customer requests.
• Support Yard and Store Operations
  • Assist with inventory management, stocking, merchandising, and signage.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in customer workshops and educational events.
  • Resolve routine customer concerns and escalate more complex
