Inside Business Development Representative (Onsite Chicago)
What We're Looking For
We are hiring for multiple openings to build out our Inside Sales Hub. As a Business Development Rep, you will independently or as part of a team, contact existing and/or prospective customers by telephone. Your responsibilities include identifying products and/or services that can benefit customer needs, creating leads and opportunities for new pipeline, managing outbound prospecting to generate Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), conducting research on designated accounts, engaging and qualifying leads, developing and maintaining a pipeline of prospective clients, and sharing best practices with colleagues.
About the Role
This role requires being onsite out of our Chicago, IL office 5 days per week. You will work closely with the Regional & Global Sales Teams to align on prospect strategies and facilitate the routing of Qualified Sales Leads (SQLs) for further development. You will stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and product developments, continuously updating your knowledge on company products and services to effectively address customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Contacts existing and/or prospective customers by telephone
- Identifies products and/or services that can benefit customer needs
- Creates leads and opportunities for new pipeline
- Manages outbound prospecting to generate Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
- Conducts research on designated accounts, collects prospect contact information, identifies key personas and decision makers
- Engages and qualifies leads generated from marketing campaigns
- Develops and maintains a pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities
- Works closely with the Regional & Global Sales Teams to align on prospect strategies, facilitating effective routing of Qualified Sales Leads (SQLs)
- Leverages CRM tools and data insights to inform prospecting activities and activity reporting
- Proactively shares best practices with colleagues within Regional Hub and seeks out opportunities to share learning/successes, contributing to a collaborative sales environment
- Stays informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and product developments
- Continuously updates knowledge on company products and services to effectively address customer needs
- Implements feedback and coaching to improve sales techniques and outcomes

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience. Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
Pay
$29.54 - $44.31 Hourly Incentive Compensation
In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role an opportunity to earn variable compensation in the form of commission for achieving quota, at 25%, in accordance with the terms of the applicable sales incentive plan.
