Inside Broker or Workers’ Compensation Marketing Specialist
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and market an assigned Workers’ Compensation book of business, including renewals and new business opportunities.
- Evaluate submissions, analyze loss history and exposures, and determine appropriate coverage and market strategies.
- Identify suitable carriers, request and negotiate quotes, and manage placement through binding.
- Communicate coverage options, pricing, and underwriting requirements clearly to brokers and agency partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail agencies and carrier partners, including regular phone and in-person engagement.
- Drive revenue growth by meeting assigned production goals and identifying cross-sell or expansion opportunities.
- Utilize online submission platforms and internal rating teams to support underwriting and market clearance.
- Ensure accurate documentation and account management within internal systems (ImageRight, AIM).
- Participate in required training, licensing, and professional development activities.
- Works cross-functionally with Brokers, Account Executives, Brokerage Assistants, and Rating specialists.
Required Qualifications
- Active Property & Casualty license required for consideration.
- 5+ years of experience in wholesale brokerage, commercial insurance sales, or underwriting with heavy experience in Workers’ Compensation.
- Proven ability to market Worker's Compensation risks across multiple carriers; wholesale experience preferred over retail.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Risk Management, or Sales a plus).
- Proficiency with insurance systems and Microsoft Office tools; strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Relationship-driven communicator comfortable engaging agencies and carriers by phone and in person.
Pay
The target salary range for this position is $78,750.00 - $90,000.00 annually. The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
