Inprocess Inspector

Essential Tasks

• Inspect material, mark defects and flaws for grinding and remove defects with hand grinder if required.
• Weighs, band, mark, stamp, tag and identify material after re-grinding.
• Checks dimensions and surface quality to meet customers’ requirements.
• Ensures compliance with established grinding techniques.
• Detects and reports defective material and improper operations and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
• Complies with prescribed safety regulations and keeps area clean.

Non-essential Tasks

Performs other duties as required or directed by work leader or supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Required to pass In-dept vision screening
• Requires the use of some judgement to inspect and mark defects
• Be able to read and follow written procedures
