Inpatient Therapist, Behavioral Health

About the role

As a Therapist on the Adolescent Program at Woodland Springs, you will support the department’s clinical, operational, and administrative excellence while providing compassionate care that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological, emotional, or substance‑abuse problems.
• Participate actively in the treatment planning process.
• Provide family session counseling to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups.
• Communicate proactively with clients, families, and outside referral sources.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff.
• Communicate treatment and length‑of‑stay issues to utilization review.
• Complete appropriate paperwork for clients in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
• Demonstrate crisis‑intervention and de‑escalation skills; assist the team during crisis situations to ensure patient safety.
• Perform accurate patient assessments utilizing clinical skills.
• Assist the care coordination department as requested.
• Document thoroughly, timely, and in accordance with hospital standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and complete releases appropriately.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and other clinical regulations, including TJC, Medicaid, and state and federal laws.
• Participate actively in discharge, transition, and after‑care planning processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or equivalent (required).
• Current clinical or social work license as required by state regulations.
• CPR and de‑escalation certification (required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire).
• Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical‑dependency patients.

Schedule

Full‑time, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm.
