About the role
Inpatient Therapist responsible for conducting therapeutic groups, documenting sessions, and developing treatment plans for adolescent and adult patients in a behavioral health facility.
- Conduct therapeutic groups and maintain accurate documentation of sessions.
- Interview patients to develop psychological histories and assess therapeutic needs of individuals and families.
- Develop treatment objectives, weekly summaries, and serve as the primary contact and advocate for patients and families during their stay.
- Coordinate discharge planning with the treatment team and external agencies.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, or psychology.
- Preferred licensure in Florida.
- Experience in psychiatric healthcare, family and group therapies, and assessment skills.
- Adolescent drug addiction experience is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical assessment skills are essential.
