Inpatient RN/Lactation Consultant

Role Overview

Provides inpatient breastfeeding support, education, and coordination while demonstrating integrity, compassion, and respect.

Key Responsibilities

• Affords breastfeeding needs
• Trains staff and community members
• Maintains documentation
• Contributes to a safe environment for all

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree in nursing
• Two years of RN experience
• Active RN licensure
• PREFERRED: Lactation certification (CLC and IBCLC)
• Goal is to obtain IBCLC within a year

Reporting & Supervision
