About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Psychiatrist to join a 32-bed facility supporting adult and geriatric patients in Lubbock, TX. This role offers a leadership opportunity as Medical Director or staff psychiatrist in a fully supported, onsite environment with 24/7 nursing and nurse practitioners. The position provides an enriching, patient-centered care setting backed by a mission-driven team focused on long-term recovery and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and crisis stabilization
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Manage an average of 3–5 evaluations daily
- Utilize EMR systems like WellSky and dictation tools such as Dragon/Dictation Cloud
Requirements
- Must work onsite in Lubbock, TX
- Eligible for Texas medical license
- Physician (MD or DO) with preferred experience in adult/geriatric inpatient psychiatry
