Inpatient Psych Nurse Manager

Role Overview

This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining and purchasing equipment, and tracking departmental statistics.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, assign work, evaluate performance, and support staff professional development.
• Assist in developing staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, ensuring departmental goals are met.
• Oversee patient care, ensuring interventions align with patients' needs and documenting according to policies.
• Create collaborative care plans based on assessments and medical treatments.
• Manage staff scheduling, payroll, and staffing needs, including overtime and performance reviews.
• Lead performance evaluations, recommend improvements, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• 2+ years of RN experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Active RN license; additional experience (5–10 years) and supervisory experience (<2 years) are advantageous.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
