Shift Details

• Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)
• Shift: Rotating (8 hour shift)
• Hours: 6am-11pm (occasional overnight coverage)
• Weekends: Every Other Weekend
• Holiday Rotation
• Hours may vary to meet pharmacy staffing needs

Responsibilities

• Perform care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner
• Fill and deliver medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner
• Ensure adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
• Triage and escalate any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed
• Use appropriate systems for processing patient information
• Ensure quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements
• Operate pharmacy equipment appropriately

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)
• CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Preferred)
• Previous Pharmacy Experience (preferred)
