Role Overview The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications, preparing compounded drugs, and managing inventory, including controlled substances. They utilize technology such as automated systems and IV compounding equipment to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient medication delivery across various pharmacy settings. The technician answers patient and caregiver inquiries, maintains accurate records, and participates in quality and safety initiatives. They contribute to a clean, organized work environment and support departmental goals through collaboration and feedback. Key Responsibilities Assist with all pharmacy services under supervision, ensuring compliance with regulations.Prepare medication orders, perform calculations, and compound medications accurately.Manage medication supplies, verify inventories, and ensure proper packaging and labeling.Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and caregivers.Participate in departmental meetings, process improvements, and safety protocols.Support financial and regulatory aspects of pharmacy operations. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent; current pharmacy technician certification/license.Knowledge of pharmacy regulations, IV compounding, and inventory management.Proficiency in pharmacy technology, computer skills, and strong organizational abilities.Effective communication, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. Additional Details Experience in inpatient pharmacy preferred; new graduates are welcome.Physical ability to perform tasks involving movement, lifting, and manual dexterity.Competitive hourly pay range and comprehensive benefits package offered.
