Inpatient Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Following established policies and procedures, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, prepares and distributes medication and performs functions essential to the operations of the pharmacy department. Participates in training new staff. Functions within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections. Other duties as assigned.

• Follow Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board practice guidelines

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician required by hire date; must be obtained within 12 months of hire
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCE or ExCPT required within 6 months of hire

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years work experience in a hospital pharmacy department preferred
• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician-training program preferred

Schedule

• FTE: 1.000000 (40.00 standard hours)
• Shift: Primarily 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday with varying start times from 0600 to 0900
• Holidays: Rotating holiday on-call responsibility
• Weekends: On-call approximately every 8th weekend

$5,000 sign on bonus
