Inpatient Pharmacist Team Lead - Peds

About the role

Under the general guidance of the Inpatient Pharmacy Manager, provide operational and clinical pharmacy leadership within the specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Pharmacy provides optimal drug therapy to patients as evidenced by proper drug selection, dose, route, duration of therapy, and cost effectiveness.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate pharmacy programs and enhance the quality of existing services in the specialty area.
• Provide oversight and monitoring of clinical and operational pharmacy initiatives and services.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize the delivery of care, ensuring relevant safety, regulatory, certification and/or accreditation standards are maintained, and various required human resource functions.
• Serve as the Pharmacist-In-Charge and ensure the operation of the pharmacy is in compliance with all laws pertinent to the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of drugs and supervision of pharmacy personnel.

Requirements

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completion of a pharmacy residency program or 2 years of work experience as a registered pharmacist.
• Licenses and certifications: SC Pharmacist License, Current BLS Certification (within 90 days of start date).
