About the role
This position involves providing clinical leadership within the Emergency Room, supervising nursing staff and technicians, and ensuring quality patient care across various age groups. The nurse will assign duties, monitor attendance, support staff development, and serve as a clinical resource.
Responsibilities
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives
- Supporting shared governance
- Delegating tasks
- Acting as a liaison among staff, physicians, and patients
Key duties include assigning and supervising patient care while ensuring adherence to policies and care plans, participating in emergency measures, medication administration, and documentation, supporting professional development, and promoting patient safety, environmental safety, and effective communication.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Valid RN license and CPR certification
- Ability to perform heavy physical work
Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
