About the Role
Provides specialized care for patients undergoing dialysis and renal therapies, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and Apheresis, in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of dialysis modalities and monitor patient responses, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Supervise and educate Patient Care Technicians and ICU staff to ensure safe and effective treatments.
- Document treatment details accurately, maintain equipment safety, and ensure infection control procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and participate in staff training and quality activities.
- Handle equipment troubleshooting, safety testing, and respond to adverse events.
Requirements
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of one year of RN experience, with at least six months in nephrology and dialysis services.
- Nephrology or Apheresis certification encouraged.
- CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Strong assessment skills, organizational abilities, and leadership qualities.
