Inpatient Dialysis Nurse

About the Role

Provides specialized care for patients undergoing dialysis and renal therapies, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and Apheresis, in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of dialysis modalities and monitor patient responses, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Supervise and educate Patient Care Technicians and ICU staff to ensure safe and effective treatments.
• Document treatment details accurately, maintain equipment safety, and ensure infection control procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and participate in staff training and quality activities.
• Handle equipment troubleshooting, safety testing, and respond to adverse events.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience, with at least six months in nephrology and dialysis services.
• Nephrology or Apheresis certification encouraged.
• CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Strong assessment skills, organizational abilities, and leadership qualities.
