Inpatient Clinical Supervisor

This night-shift role offers the opportunity to collaborate, think big-picture, and make thoughtful decisions that support both patients and staff. The Inpatient Supervisor partners closely with care teams across multiple inpatient units to ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

Schedule

• Full Time, Flexible scheduling
• 36-40 hours per week
• Night shift: 6 pm to 6 am (some flexibility within these hours)

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate each child’s care plan, working closely with the care team, the child, and their family to support meaningful outcomes
• Ensure clinical care is delivered safely, consistently, and in line with best practices and ChildServe guidelines
• Support scheduling, supervision, and ongoing performance feedback to ensure the right staff are in place
• Respond to questions or concerns from families, staff, and partners with professionalism and care
• Build strong relationships and encourage open communication across teams
• Serve as on-call support for medical group homes when needed
• Support staff growth, engagement, and job satisfaction to promote long-term retention
• Partner with leadership to identify opportunities to improve care, workflows, and team effectiveness

Requirements

• Licensure to practice as an RN in the State of Iowa
• Active BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the clinic areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand
• Ability to communicate effectively in (or through) reading, writing, and speaking the English language

Qualifications

• Preferred: 5 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, rehabilitation, and/or with children with complex medical conditions
• Preferred: Specialty nursing certifications (CPN, CBIS, CRRN)
