Inpatient Certified Pharmacy Technician - York Hospital - Full-Time - Day

Responsibilities

• Receives and stocks deliveries of pharmaceuticals and other supplies.
• Packages and labels medications prior to dispensing.
• Delivers medications to care areas within the hospital and off-site locations.
• Manages pharmacy inventory using electronic inventory management systems.
• Maintains product expirations and removes outdated stock from inventory.
• Responds to product recalls.
• Compounds non-sterile and sterile medication preparations.
• Cleans and disinfects procedures.
• Performs clerical duties such as answering telephones and maintaining supplies.
• Trains and mentors new pharmacy technicians and pharmacy interns.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician upon hire required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician upon hire required or Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician upon hire required.
