Inpatient Advance Pharmacy Technician (Medication Histories) - 20 hrs/wk - Macomb

GENERAL SUMMARY

Works under the supervision of a pharmacist to process orders for medications that require special handling, preparation and/or accountability.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Requires a valid Pharmacy Technician license from the State of Michigan.
• Requires at least one year of experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician and/or Retail Pharmacy Technician (retail experience applies only to medication history positions).
• Requires the ability to maintain records and perform calculations.
• Maintains expertise and skill in the safe handling and use of medications which require special handling, preparation and/or accountability.
