Peachford Hospital is a 246-bed, Joint Commission–accredited behavioral health hospital located in Dunwoody (Atlanta), Georgia, serving the region since 1973. It provides 24/7 psychiatric and addiction services across a full continuum of care, including inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. The facility specializes in treating mental health disorders, substance use, and co-occurring conditions through evidence-based therapies, medication management, and multidisciplinary care, with round-the-clock assessments and admissions support.
About the Role
We are seeking a full-time, onsite BE/BC General Psychiatrist to join our team. This position focuses on inpatient adult and older adult populations, with a schedule of Monday-Friday onsite, 1:4 weekend rounding, and 1-2 weeknights of telephonic call monthly. The role is full-time W2 employment with Cerner as the EMR system.
Responsibilities
- Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for adult and older adult patients.
- Participate in daily treatment team meetings.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
- Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines.
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Psychiatry (BC preferred).
- Successful completion of General Psychiatry Residency.
- Active or eligible for Georgia medical license.
- Comfort with treating adult and older adult populations.
- Onsite only.
