Inpatient General Psychiatrist Position for June 2027 | Full-time 1099 | Atlanta, GA
Anchor Hospital is a 122-bed Joint Commission-accredited facility specializing in the treatment of behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for adolescents, adults, and elderly adults. Located two and one-half miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, GA.
About the role
This hospital-employed position begins in June 2027. You will work onsite Monday through Friday during day hours, with 14 shared call shifts per month. Daily caseload is 18–20 patients ages 10 and older within a multidisciplinary inpatient setting supported by behavioral health technicians, RNs, psychiatric NPs, social workers, and therapists. The hospital uses Cerner as its EMR.
Responsibilities
- Perform admission evaluations and assessments
- Manage treatment teams and oversee discharge processes
- Collaborate with physicians, NPs, and support staff
- Document care in Cerner
- Provide supervision to nurse practitioners
- Handle related administrative tasks
Requirements
- Board Certified in General Psychiatry (required)
- Two years post-residency experience (preferred)
- Active or eligible Georgia medical license
- Active DEA registration
- Comfortable and willing to treat patients ages 10 and older
Compensation
1099 contract preferred.
