Role Overview
Provides direct patient care in an inpatient acute dialysis setting, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing activities within established standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Promotes patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participates in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development.
- Develops and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and caregivers, ensuring effective communication across care transitions.
- Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
- Works in a safety-sensitive role requiring constant alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current RN license; minimum of two years hospital-based bedside RN experience; dialysis experience preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience is not required.
