About the role

We’re looking to add a handful of high-impact engineers to our team. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to design high quality, cost effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems. You will own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval. You will be our suppliers' primary point of technical contact for your projects. Then, once the design is completed and approved, you will hand-off the project to our Ops Engineering team who will oversee the installation and commissioning of the project. You'll support that team to ensure that the system you've designed is successfully installed, commissioned and launched.

Responsibilities

  • Design the next generation of world-class fulfillment centers and logistics systems across the globe
  • Own high-level ownership in solving complex problems
  • Design systems that leverage groundbreaking automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and robotics
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval
  • Serve as suppliers' primary point of technical contact for projects
  • Support Ops Engineering team during installation and commissioning to ensure successful launch
  • Work on green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits including highly automated fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, and transportation centers
  • Handle both template-based and designed-from-scratch projects
  • Collaborate with a team of highly skilled engineers in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in management of engineering design projects
  • 3+ years of Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering (any domain) or foreign equivalent, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Knowledge of concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making
  • Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing
  • Experience with design-in-safety
  • Experience with process design based on Lean Principles

Pay

USA, WA, Bellevue - 99,300.00 - 160,000.00 USD annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
