Innovation and Design Engineer, Worldwide Design Engineering

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to design high quality, cost effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems.
- Own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval.
- Be the suppliers' primary point of technical contact for your projects.
- Hand-off the project to our Ops Engineering team who will oversee the installation and commissioning of the project.
- Support the Ops Engineering team to ensure that the system you've designed is successfully installed, commissioned and launched.
- Work on a variety of template-based and designed-from-scratch projects, including green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits, including highly automated fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, and transportation centers.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related experience.
- Experience in Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related work.
- Experience in management of engineering design projects.
- A Master's degree in Engineering (any domain) or foreign equivalent, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making.
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing.
- Experience with design-in-safety.
- Experience with process design based on Lean Principles.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
