Injection Molding Production Operator- B Shift

About the role

This position works under minimal supervision and is responsible for operating one or more of the Injection Molding Production Lines as assigned each shift.

Responsibilities

  • Pulls work orders at the beginning of the shift and throughout the shift as needed.
  • Verifies work order labels and data, ensuring accuracy prior to starting production.
  • Inspects product type, label, color, and molding uniformity.
  • Loads appropriate label file and runs production equipment at standard rates set by the company.
  • Begins production run per work order, using a weight scale for accuracy.
  • Prints and labels boxes; pulls and assembles flattened case boxes for the shift.
  • Prints and labels cases; performs final assembly and/or packaging of molded parts.
  • Records production run data on work order and in ERP System (EPICOR).
  • Stops machine at the end of the run; cleans and maintains production machines and work areas.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting on machines, resolving problems as trained; escalates issues to Maintenance Team or Lead as required.
  • Adheres to company Core Values and Purpose; attends scheduled meetings, missing no more than 10% annually.
  • Clocks in and out for work and lunch with no more than 1 error per month.
  • Provides excellent customer service and follows all OSHA and safety guidelines.
  • Demonstrates teamwork, manages job-related stress, and meets deadlines.
  • Follows company safety standards to avoid serious injury; adheres to policies to avoid verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.
  • Comfortable working around automated machinery.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed to respond to customer needs and remain competitive.

Requirements

  • Basic computer usage, including mouse operation.
  • Ability to learn label printing software.
  • Basic English proficiency to read work orders and write information.
  • Mechanical aptitude for setup, daily startup, tuning, and minor repair of filling and packaging equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions and maintenance manuals.
  • Basic math skills (addition and subtraction).
  • Logical troubleshooting of production machine issues.
  • Visual inspection skills to identify defects, match products with packaging, and verify coding and labeling.
  • Understanding of operational procedures for safe manufacturing.
  • Ability to manage stress and meet physical demands, including sitting, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Position requires 5% sitting at a workstation and 95% standing or walking on a concrete floor for extended periods.
  • Vision must be within or correctable to normal range.
  • Must work on-site at the Arlington, TX facility and maintain regular attendance during scheduled shifts.
  • Availability for evening/weekend work as needed.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to computers, toxic chemicals, and production machinery. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately high.

Pay

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour. A shift differential of $0.75 per hour applies for B shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with possible mandatory Saturday overtime).
