Injection Molding Processor - D Shift

About the role

The PET/Injection Machine Operator will operate machinery to produce pre-forms and/or PET bottles. The role involves following Good Manufacturing Practices, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations, and performing various tasks such as monitoring production, making adjustments, and troubleshooting issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate an injection molding machine to shape plastics.
• Maintain and repair equipment as needed.
• Adjust machine settings according to product specifications.
• Monitor production process and downstream equipment, making necessary adjustments.
• Verify pre-form attributes using statistical process control techniques.
• Perform quality assurance testing using laboratory equipment.
• Prepare and document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies, and other relevant data.
• Train new PET/Injection Machine operators.
• Handle basic mechanical and process troubleshooting.
• Prepare and submit maintenance request forms.
• Document equipment repairs.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• An AS degree is preferred.
• Formal education in the area of specialty, such as an apprenticeship and/or formal training.
• 1-3 years of experience in the field or a related area.
