Injection Molding Mold Setter

Perform installation, set-up, and removal of machine molds, lubrication, and preventive maintenance on production and building equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

3:30 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• Perform mold installation, set-up, and removal.
• Maintain mold-related hardware.
• Fabricate chutes and guards to prevent cap loss and runner loss.
• Keep accurate paperwork.
• Perform any other assigned duties.
• Comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF, and other regulatory requirements.
• Report concerns that could impact requirements or suggest areas for improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Excellent attendance and a good work record.
• Familiarity with mold preventive maintenance inspections.
• Good housekeeping skills.
• Score a 62% or higher on the Mechanical Comprehension Test.
• Good knowledge of mold components.
• Own tools and availability to work overtime.
• Tow motor certified.
• Creative problem-solving ability.
• Able to work independently with some supervision.
• Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, climbing, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting/moving (up to 50 pounds periodically).
• Able to work in a production environment, around moving mechanical parts, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
• Perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.

Pay

The starting rate of pay for this position is $23 per hour; however, starting pay offered may vary between $22 and $25 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
