Responsibilities
- Set up, start up, and operate injection molding machines and mold-changing equipment for production
- Install molds and make adjustments to maintain quality standards
- Monitor machine performance and part quality, making process changes as needed
- Troubleshoot issues quickly to minimize downtime and keep product flowing
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs
- Conduct mold changes, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting molds, per the production schedule
- Keep accurate documentation of process changes and equipment concerns
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient production area
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with injection molding equipment in a technical, maintenance, or troubleshooting role (1+ year preferred—but strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn are welcome)
- Comfort using hand tools, mechanic's tools, and basic equipment maintenance skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or technical specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills—you notice when something’s off and know how to diagnose it
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Good attendance and a reputation for follow-through
Physical Requirements
This role is active and hands-on, involving:
- Standing for extended periods
- Working in varied positions
- Lifting up to 55 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
- Exposure to machinery noise and temperature variations
