About the role

At Anchor Ingredients, our sales team builds lasting partnerships that fuel growth and innovation across the supply chains in the food and pet food industries. We are seeking a driven, entrepreneurial-minded salesperson/trader to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Own your business: Source, purchase and sell ingredients within your assigned product group, driving profitability and growth.
• Build lasting partnerships: Develop strong supplier and customer relationships that create long-term value.
• Win in the market: Stay ahead of trends, assess risk and act quickly to capture opportunities before competitors.
• Maximize performance: Manage inventory positions, set sourcing strategies and hit financial targets.
• Collaborate & innovate: Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless service and suggest new trade opportunities, products and solutions.
• Represent Anchor: Travel (~25%) to customer sites, trade shows and industry events to strengthen relationships and expand market presence.

Requirements

• Experience in ingredient sales, trading, sourcing or procurement within commodities, food, feed or related supply chains.
• Strong contract negotiation skills and proven success closing profitable deals.
• Entrepreneurial spirit—confident decision-maker who takes calculated risks.
• Organized, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight.
• Experience in import/export environments preferred.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communicator who earns trust quickly.
• Skilled in problem-solving, market analysis and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in ingredient sales, trading, sourcing or procurement.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to work independently, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay

Competitive base salary plus commission structure directly tied to your performance.

Schedule

This role is primarily office and customer-facing, with occasional visits to production facilities where PPE may be required. Travel is moderate (~25%) and includes customer meetings, site visits and industry events.
