Ingredient Control Technician I

About the role
This position is responsible for assembling kits for the production plant: pre-weigh ingredients, track inventory, and follow detailed instructions.
Responsibilities
- Pre-weigh ingredients following specific recipes
- Batch soft drinks and energy drinks
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas
- Monitor activities in area of responsibility at all times during shift
- Ensure every detail and specification of each product is met
- Follow recipes and directions precisely
- Conduct physical counts on customer-owned inventories
- Learn and apply new processes and procedures in area of responsibility
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/lead
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Comply with quality production and Food Safety standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret instructions in English
- Strong mechanical background and troubleshooting ability
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems
- Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulations
- 1-3 years’ experience in a high-speed production environment
- Knowledge working in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and use of customer portals
Job Setting
This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Employees will experience varying physical demands throughout the day, including:
- Standing for extended periods and walking on occasionally slippery floors
- Handling equipment or materials
- Temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions (heat and cold)
- Loud work environment requiring hearing protection (ear plugs)
- Mandatory use of hairnets and no jewelry on the production floor
- Exposure to alcohol as an ingredient in products
Physical Requirements
- Regular bending, stooping, and lifting up to 60 lbs
- Extended standing on hard surfaces
- Exposure to noise, dust, variable temperatures, and production chemicals
- Vision requirements: distance, close, color, peripheral, and depth perception
- Frequent standing, talking, hearing, use of hands, and reaching with hands and arms
- Occasional sitting, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Works in a production and warehouse environment with forklifts, equipment, and damp floors
- Frequent exposure to working near mechanical parts and vibration
Pay
$19.00 - $21.50 per hour depending on experience, plus a $2.00 night shift differential when applicable. Night shift bonus of $750.
Schedule
- Full-time, night shift: 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- 2-2-3 rotating shifts (work 15 days a month)
