AI Engineer — Computer VisionAbout Gate 0Gate 0 is a sports technology company building intelligent systems around athlete performance and development. We combine AI, Computer Vision, software engineering, and performance data to better understand how athletes train, compete, and progress over time. Our goal is to turn real-world sports data into practical tools that help athletes, coaches, and performance teams make better decisions. The RoleWe’re looking for an AI Engineer with strong Computer Vision experience to join Gate 0 in a full-time, remote position. You’ll work across the AI lifecycle — from data preparation and experimentation to model training, evaluation, optimization, and production deployment.Computer Vision will be an important part of the role, particularly around video and athlete performance analysis, but the position is broader than CV alone. You may also work on predictive models, multimodal AI, data-driven performance insights, and intelligent product features. What You’ll Work OnDesign, train, and evaluate machine learning and deep learning modelsBuild Computer Vision systems for image and video analysisWork on areas such as object detection, tracking, pose estimation, movement analysis, and action recognitionDevelop data preprocessing, training, and evaluation pipelinesIntegrate AI models into production applications and backend servicesOptimize models for inference speed, accuracy, and reliabilityWork with structured and unstructured athlete performance dataPrototype and evaluate new AI approachesCollaborate with software and product teams to turn AI capabilities into real product featuresMonitor, debug, and improve models after deploymentWrite clean, maintainable, production-ready Python codeWhat We’re Looking For2+ years of professional experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Computer VisionStrong Python programming skillsHands-on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlowPractical experience with OpenCV or similar Computer Vision toolingSolid understanding of machine learning and deep learning fundamentalsExperience with at least some of:Object detectionImage classificationSegmentationObject trackingPose estimationVideo analyticsExperience building ML pipelines and evaluating model performanceStrong software engineering fundamentalsFamiliarity with Git and collaborative development workflowsAbility to take an AI problem from experimentation to a production-ready solutionStrong problem-solving and communication skillsNice to HaveExperience with YOLO, Detectron2, Vision Transformers, or similar architecturesExperience with real-time Computer Vision or video inferenceExperience deploying AI models through APIs, cloud services, mobile, or edge devicesFamiliarity with Docker, Linux, CI/CD, or MLOpsExperience with AWS, GCP, or AzureKnowledge of ONNX, TensorRT, CUDA, or model optimizationExperience with multimodal AI, LLMs, or GenAI systemsExperience with sports analytics, biomechanics, fitness, or human performance dataC++ experienceWhy Gate 0You’ll work on AI systems tied directly to real-world athletic performance rather than isolated demos or purely experimental projects. This role offers strong ownership across the full AI lifecycle, from research and prototyping to deployment and product integration. The journey starts at zero.#AIEngineer #ArtificialIntelligence #MachineLearning #ComputerVision #DeepLearning #Python #PyTorch #OpenCV #SportsTech #RemoteJobs #Hiring #Gate0Athletics
