Responsibilities

  • Ensure the operation of the system environment related to the PaaS/IaaS infrastructure platform
  • Operate and develop infrastructures based on Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes
  • Continuously monitor and optimize the availability, security, and performance of the platform
  • Manage cloud applications on Kubernetes and services on Windows and Linux servers
  • Analyze failures, implement sustainable solutions, and ensure stable operations
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to operations, installation, and handover

Requirements

  • Completed higher professional education or equivalent qualification in IT; several years of experience in a similar technical field
  • Strong knowledge of operating complex system environments, ideally in decentralized hosting platforms
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and experience with Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes systems
  • Experience managing cloud applications on Kubernetes and applications on Windows and Linux servers
  • Analytical mindset, strong work ethic, autonomy, and a passion for developing sustainable solutions
  • Active proficiency in two official Swiss languages and mastery of English

fedpol develops and operates national information systems and performs surveillance, authorization, and enforcement tasks in the areas of weapons and explosives law. The Police and Identification Systems Directorate (SPI) ensures the smooth operation and development of central police databases and information systems, facilitates national police information exchange, and provides forensic and identification services to Swiss and foreign partner authorities. The Police Systems Division (POLS) guarantees the secure and stable operation of central Swiss police information systems, develops them using agile methods based on needs, and ensures their availability, functionality, and performance to enable police work.
