We are seeking a highly skilled Specialty Infusion Pharmacist to join a growing healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional infusion pharmacy services. In this role, you will provide specialized medication management, prepare and dispense infusion therapies, and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense sterile and non-sterile infusion medications using aseptic techniques and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop individualized infusion treatment plans for patients across specialties, including oncology, gastroenterology, neurology, immunology, and pediatrics.
  • Conduct comprehensive medication reviews and patient assessments to ensure safe and effective therapy.
  • Monitor patient responses to infusion treatments and recommend therapy adjustments when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Provide clinical consultation regarding pharmacotherapy, medication administration, drug interactions, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and clinical staff on infusion therapies and medication management.

Qualifications

  • Active Pharmacist licenses in Michigan (MI) and Illinois (IL).
  • Extensive clinical experience in a specialty home infusion pharmacy setting.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacotherapeutics, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with sterile IV compounding and aseptic techniques; non-sterile compounding experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients and individuals with chronic illnesses is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) platforms.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy workflow and compounding software is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Previous experience mentoring, training, or precepting pharmacy staff or students is a plus.

Pay

$135,000 - $155,000 annually
