Infusion Patient Assistant Program

About the Role

The Patient Assistance Program Specialist reports to the Regional Director of Home Infusion and Patient Access. This role performs all operational activities to assist infusion patients with financial assistance needs, identifies uninsured or underinsured patients, and enrolls them in available programs to help with co-insurance responsibilities. Ensures all patient assistance activity complies with state, federal, and regulatory laws and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform operational activities to assist infusion patients with financial assistance needs.

• Assist patients in enrolling in available programs to help with co-insurance responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory laws and standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in infusion or hospital pharmacy.
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Expertise in 340B program operations and compliance (preferred).
• Proficiency in Caretend electronic medical records (EMR) system (preferred).
• Knowledge of outpatient pharmacy revenue cycle as it relates to prescription and medical benefits (preferred).

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $XXX,XXX.XX to $XXX,XXX.XX annually. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
