What You'll Do
- Serve as the central hub for patient care coordination, helping patients navigate diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and supportive care with confidence and continuity.
- Coordinate all clinical care within the oncology clinic to maximize:
- Patient safety
- Quality outcomes
- Patient satisfaction
- Staff engagement and satisfaction
- Utilize the nursing process: Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation
- Lead and support:
- EPIC In Basket communication
- Order entry coordination
- Patient education
- Individualized care planning
- Appointment coordination and follow-up
- Care coordination across services including: Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Chemotherapy and Infusion Services, Palliative Care, Survivorship Programs
- Foster a culture built on teamwork, respect, accountability, and compassionate excellence
- Ensure patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Previous oncology nursing experience preferred
- Infusion nursing experience strongly preferred
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field is preferred
- Active RN license in South Carolina or compact state (required)
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification (required or must be obtained within designated timeframe)
- Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
