Responsibilities
- Ensure appropriate use and stewardship of medical supplies and equipment to support patient safety and operational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff, maintaining professional relationships and promoting a positive environment.
- Assess patients and respond promptly to changes in their condition.
- Manage emergency patient situations, including codes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and care procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and care plans, ensuring understanding and compliance based on assessed learning needs.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with nursing practices.
- Follow CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrate appropriate use of PPE, perform hand hygiene according to policy, and enforce safety regulations.

Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing [Preferred]
- Field of study in nursing BSN Graduate from an accredited school of nursing [Required]
- 1+ years of experience in acute care nursing [Required]
- Oncology experience [Preferred]
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) [Preferred]
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]
Qualifications
- Knowledge of clinical nursing expertise in oncology care [Required]
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal [Required]
- Computer proficiency [Required]
Skills
- Ability to follow CDC isolation guidelines
- Proper use of PPE
- Perform hand hygiene according to policy
- Enforce safety regulations
