About the role
The Infusion Office Administrative Assistant functions as an administrative staff member of the Infusion Office Team within an infusion pharmacy office setting. This position is responsible for coordination of care, infusion referrals, nursing requirements, nursing onboarding, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates calls to the appropriate individuals.
- Maintains filing and storage systems in the office.
- Retrieves documents and files when requested.
- Establishes and maintains employee records.
- Maintains employee data in an efficient manner and provides reports when needed.
- Maintains client data in an efficient manner and provides reports when needed.
- Coordinates care for patients and infusion referrals.
- Communicates effectively with case managers and infusion nurses.
- Creates, edits, and updates spreadsheets.
- Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in customer service, preferably at a high-volume call center.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative capacity.
- Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize, perform multiple tasks at one time, and have good organizational skills.
- Ability to provide excellent/professional customer service, both face-to-face and on the telephone.
- Excellent communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking to effectively handle position responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of CPR+ preferred.
Physical Demands
- Required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
- Required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Specific vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
