Responsibilities
- Complete general patient assessment and obtain vital signs
- Establish IV access per policy
- Prepare, administer and document infusions/injections per order from the physician
- Monitor for infusion related reactions. Follow infusion reaction protocol and notify physicians if any concerns
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatments and associated side effects
- Schedule patients for follow up appointments
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current MA license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience. Infusion experience highly preferred
- Proficient peripheral IV skills required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work in a team focused environment
- High level of professionalism
- Bilingual is a plus
