Position Details

  • Location: Bourne and Duxbury, MA
  • Schedule: Per Diem - 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (no weekends)
  • Average 3-4 days per month

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer infusion therapy: According to physician orders and protocols
  • Establish and maintain intravenous access: With precision and care
  • Monitor patients: For reactions, document progress, and update records in a timely manner
  • Education: Patients and caregivers about treatment plans, medications, and disease management
  • Adhere to infection control techniques: And universal precautions to maintain a safe environment
  • Manage and document: Refrigerator temperatures and daily logs
  • Care coordination: Coordinate follow-up appointments and schedule therapy sessions for no-show patients
  • Communication: Notify physicians and regional directors of changes in patient conditions
  • Revenue cycle management: Collect co-pays as required and ensure patient satisfaction surveys are completed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (R.N.) with a current state license
  • Minimum of 1 year of infusion/IV experience as an R.N. (infusion experience highly preferred)
  • Ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, and staff
  • Commitment to maintaining and expanding clinical expertise through ongoing education
  • Adherence to safe nursing practices and infection control standards
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
