About the role

The Infusion Suite Nurse at LUX Infusion plays a vital role in delivering safe, personalized intravenous therapies while supporting patients through complex diagnoses and treatment plans. This role is often the face of care, building trust with patients and families while collaborating closely with physicians and clinical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver intravenous infusion therapy safely and effectively in an infusion suite setting
• Maintain accurate, detailed clinical documentation and patient records
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to support holistic patient needs
• Manage infusion appointments and contribute to efficient scheduling and patient flow
• Support patient assessments and nurse/patient education initiatives as requested by the Clinical Nurse Manager
• Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical leadership to implement and adjust patient care plans
• Provide patient and caregiver education tailored to individual understanding and anxiety levels
• Ensure safe administration and monitoring of high-tech IV medications
• Support providers through clear communication and skilled clinical execution
• Contribute to positive patient outcomes through compassionate communication and high clinical standards

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license with ability to practice in New York State
• Proficiency with IV insertions across age groups, PICC and Port-a-Cath management, and nursing assessments
• Experience delivering high-quality patient care and supporting patient satisfaction
• Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office, clinical documentation systems)
• Knowledge and experience using IV pumps

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of nursing experience with emphasis on IV insertions, SubQ and IM injections, and oral medication administration
• A deep commitment to patient-centered care and advocacy
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and care teams
• Confidence delivering IV therapies and managing complex infusion protocols
• Comfort educating patients with empathy, clarity, and calm
• A desire to work on a team that values both compassion and clinical excellence

Pay

$48 - $55 USD per hour

Schedule

Hours vary based on department needs, but typically include evenings and weekends.
