Infusion Nurse

About the role

Valkyrie Clinical Trials (VCT), a Flourish Research Company, is seeking an Infusion Nurse (Oncology) to support our Denver, Colorado site. This position adheres to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and all applicable regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Perform IV infusion and IM/SQ injections of blinded and unblinded investigational products according to study protocols.
• Obtain blood specimens and other biological samples from study participants/patients following proper clinical procedures.
• Maintain accurate and timely source documentation in compliance with GCP and sponsor guidelines.
• Monitor participants/patients for infusion reactions and adverse events and report and document findings per protocol, regulatory requirements, and site SOPs.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of study data and all participant/patient information.
• Collaborate with investigators, study coordinators, pharmacy, and other clinical staff to ensure protocol compliance.
• Participate in training sessions and maintain current knowledge of clinical trial procedures and safety standards.
• Represent Flourish Research in a professional and courteous manner (verbal, written and in appearance) when interacting with all staff, clients, and vendors.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
• Communicate effectively, compassionately, and professionally with patients and guests, physicians, employees, and all others.

Requirements

• Education: Active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. ONS/ONCC certification strongly preferred. GCP certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years' experience as an oncology infusion nurse. Clinical research experience strongly preferred.
• Physical Requirements and/or Environmental Factors: Work is performed on-site in an outpatient clinical office setting. Local travel may be required to other sites as applicable. Daily computer use. Exposure to human bodily fluids. Participant/Patient care. Occasional evening and weekend work schedules. Ability to properly lift thirty-five pounds and occasionally more than thirty-five pounds. Ability to drive and daily availability of an automobile.
• Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of clinical research methods preferred. Critical thinking with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and align with operations. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively, compassionately, and professionally with patients and guests, physicians, employees, and all others. Excellent computer skills to include EMR, Office365 and other products. Experience in reviewing Standard Operating Procedures preferred. Strong problem solving, risk assessment and impact analysis abilities. Demonstrated experience in process improvement. Flexible, able to multi-task, and prioritize competing demands. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Ability to think and work independently with minimal supervision. Possess strong clinical nursing and patient care skills.

Pay

$42.00 - $57.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule

Monday to Friday, Day Shift, 40 hours per week
