Infrastructure Planning Mgr, Global Network Deployment (GND)

The successful candidate will manage the implementation and delivery of inbound capacity and equipment. This manager will oversee a growing team and drive automation opportunities to reduce delivery cycle times and improve quality.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators.
• Manage inbound capacity from receiving through deployment stages.
• Manage the installation of network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment.
• Guide, train, and educate staff on best practices related to service owner issues.
• Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and required SLAs.
• Provide weekly reports to the data center manager.
• Coordinate team resources for project and delivery needs, including emergency projects, change management, and maintenance window support.
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Host daily/weekly staff meetings.
• Drive compliance with Amazon performance management requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations.

• Experience in providing strategic direction and proposing technical solutions.
• Experience in installing and delivering network equipment and related infrastructures.
• Experience in driving low voltage structured cabling across the Amazon data center platform.
