Infrastructure Manager, XCM
About the role
Amazon's Cross Channel Marketing (XCM) team is seeking an Infrastructure Manager to own the systems behind its content platforms, serving marketing, campaign, creative, design, and production. The role manages a dedicated AWS environment supporting petabyte‑scale storage, high‑performance shared filespace, and the compute and automation that keep it running. Responsibilities include storage lifecycle, backup, recovery, continuity planning, identity and access management, single sign‑on, and credential lifecycle for third‑party platforms. The manager automates administration, maintains monitoring and support structures, shepherds new tools through security review, and ensures compliance as requirements evolve. Curiosity about AI for infrastructure automation is expected.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and evolve the AWS environment behind content platforms as new workloads and integrations arrive.
- Design storage tiering and lifecycle policies across petabyte‑scale content and multiple systems.
- Own high‑performance shared storage, backup, and archive for creative production and digital asset management.
- Automate administration of these systems to enable scaling without added manual work.
- Maintain identity, access, and security compliance across the third‑party platform estate, including single sign‑on, credential lifecycle, and platform security review.
- Establish and maintain operational standards—ownership records, monitoring, alerting, and support processes.
- Build and secure infrastructure for new integrations, including credential storage and access paths for AI and third‑party services.
- Represent content platform systems to XCM technology teams, Amazon partners, and third‑party providers, ensuring well‑designed integrations and clear ownership.
